| | Is it a Job, or Ministry? | | | Some people have a job in their church, others are passionately involved in ministry.
What is the difference?
If you do it just because no one else will, it is a job. If you do it to serve God, it is a ministry.
If you quit because someone criticizes you, it is a job. If you keep on serving, it is a ministry.
If you'll do it only as long as it doesn't interfere with other things, it is a job. If you're committed to staying with it, even when it means being inconvenienced, it is a ministry.
If you quit because no one ever praised or thanked you, it is a job. If you stay even though no one notices your efforts, it is a ministry.
If you do it because someone else said it needs to be done, it is a job. If you do it because you feel it needs to be done, it is a ministry.
It is hard to get excited about a job. It is almost impossible not to be excited about a ministry.
An average church is filled with people doing a job. A growing church is filled with people passionately involved in ministry.
